Location Broward County, FL, USA Status Full-time Salary $16 /hr Benefits Health insurance Free parking near the property Rooms discount at all Tidan-owned properties Discount on food at the restaurant Reporting Reporting to the Property Manager, the Security Agent is responsible for safeguarding our assets, staff, and visitors. You will maintain a safe and secure environment by implementing preventive measures and responding appropriately to incidents. Responsibilities Monitor premises: control access and direct visitors. Conduct regular patrols to inspect various areas. Check doors and windows to ensure they are properly locked. Maintain order and prevent disturbances, trespassing, or theft. Enforce current security regulations within the establishment. Expel intruders and unwanted loiterers as necessary. Verify the alarm system and fire detectors; adjust thermostats and lights. Identify and report fire hazards, malfunctioning machinery, or disruptions in public utilities such as electricity, heating, and ventilation to relevant authorities. Alert police, firefighters, and ambulance if needed. Cooperate with authorities in reporting intruders and unwanted loiterers. Enforce establishment regulations regarding internal and external movement of staff, visitors, users, and suppliers. Provide effective information and direction to visitors when necessary. Prepare daily surveillance reports. Provide specialized services as needed, such as responding to customer inquiries, handling lost items, addressing complaints, or referring customers. Skills and Qualifications Previous experience as a security agent or similar field is a plus. Knowledge of security procedures and risk prevention techniques. Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients. Excellent physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods. Quick responsiveness and ability to remain composed in stressful situations. Ability to understand and enforce establishment security rules and regulations. Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays. High school diploma or equivalent.
