We are looking for an Veterinary Assistant to join our team and play an important role in supporting our doctors, technicians, patients, and clients. This position is ideal for someone who already has experience working in a veterinary hospital and enjoys being hands‑on with patients. What Makes This Opportunity Great Work alongside a supportive team of veterinary professionals Gain exposure to a wide variety of medical and surgical cases Build on your clinical and patient‑care skills Work in a full-service veterinary hospital with a collaborative approach to care Opportunities for professional development and continuing education A team that values communication, compassion, and excellent patient care Be part of a hospital committed to serving pets and their families in the East Northport community What You'll Do Assist veterinarians and technicians with appointments, treatments, and procedures Safely restrain and handle patients Prepare exam, treatment, and surgical areas Assist with blood draws, laboratory testing, IV catheter placement, and diagnostics Support surgical preparation, anesthesia, dentistry, and patient recovery Administer medications and vaccines under veterinary supervision Monitor hospitalized patients and provide compassionate patient care Communicate with clients regarding basic care and discharge instructions Maintain accurate medical records and keep the hospital clean and organized Work as part of a team to keep daily hospital operations running efficiently What We're Looking For Veterinary hospital experience preferred Comfortable handling and restraining dogs and cats Previous experience with blood draws, laboratory work, treatments, or surgery is a plus Comfortable working in a fast‑paced clinical environment Strong communication and client service skills Community Veterinary Partners (CVP) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
