Role Description The Purchase Specialist is a full‑time, hybrid role based in Dallas, TX or Ontario CA with some flexibility for work from home. This role is responsible for managing end‑to‑end purchasing activities, including identifying suppliers, requesting quotes, negotiating pricing and terms, and issuing purchase orders. The Purchase Specialist monitors inventory levels, tracks delivery schedules, and coordinates with the warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment. Daily tasks include reviewing purchase requests, analyzing purchasing data, maintaining vendor records, and resolving discrepancies with invoices or shipments. The role collaborates closely with operations, finance, and sales to support cost‑effective procurement and maintain consistent product availability. Qualifications Strong knowledge of purchasing processes and purchasing practices, with the ability to follow and improve procurement workflows. Experience in purchase management and handling purchase orders, including vendor selection, order placement, and follow‑up. Demonstrated purchasing experience in a supply chain, manufacturing, or distribution environment. Solid analytical skills to interpret purchasing data, track costs, and support data‑driven decision‑making. Effective communication and negotiation skills for working with suppliers and internal stakeholders. High attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and strong organizational skills. Comfort with ERP or purchasing systems and proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Excel, Word). Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
