TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified PCU RN in Asheville, North Carolina, 28801!

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Cardiac Stepdown – North Carolina

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 1:4 patient ratio (stretch ratio 1:5); every other weekend required; float rotation to medical-surgical units, stepdown units, and ER holding as needed

Highlights:

• 40-bed cardiac unit specializing in heart failure, myocardial infarction, arrhythmia, pulmonary hypertension, valvular disease, post-cardiac catheterization/stent, and post-pacemaker/ICD/ablation patients
• Progressive care environment with continuous telemetry monitoring and experience managing cardiac IV drips including nitroglycerin, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine, dobutamine, insulin, and heparin
• Utilize Cerner EMR and specialized cardiac equipment including Zoll monitors and Baxter pumps
• Perform bedside procedures including cardioversion
• Collaborative team structure with charge nurse, bedside RNs, PCTs, and unit secretary support on each shift
• Opportunities for relief charge experience for qualified candidates

Requirements:

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
• Stepdown or progressive care nursing experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Demonstrated experience managing titratable cardiac IV medications
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with prostacyclin therapy (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin) preferred
