Emergency Medicine Physician (MD or DO) (Locum Tenens)

Location: Georgia

Schedule: Shift-based coverage; schedule varies

Position Overview

Emergency medicine physician coverage in a high-volume emergency department with APP support. Providers should be comfortable with acute care, supervision expectations as applicable, and working in a team-based environment.

Clinical Scope

• Emergency department evaluation and management
• Collaboration with APP coverage and specialty services
• Emergency procedures consistent with site capability

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Active, unrestricted Georgia medical license
• Board eligible or board certified in Emergency Medicine (per site requirements)
• DEA registered to Georgia address if required for the role
• Current ACLS and PALS (ATLS may be required depending on board status)
• Candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience within the past five years to qualify

Credentialing and Onboarding

• Credentialing may require recent case logs and CME documentation
• Credentialing timelines vary by site
