Location: 100% remote

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior API Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in building robust and scalable APIs using microservices architecture, Java SpringBoot, and Webflux. As a Senior API Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining APIs that power our applications and services.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable APIs and microservices using Java SpringBoot and Webflux, adhering to best practices and industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to define API requirements, specifications, and integration points.
• Optimize API performance and reliability through monitoring, testing, profiling, and tuning, using tools like Postman, JMeter, and Honeycomb.
• Document API designs, architecture, endpoints, parameters, payloads, error codes, and usage guidelines for internal and external developers, leveraging tools like Confluence and Swagger.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate API deployment, continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), versioning, monitoring, and scaling using Circle-CI and other tools.
• Troubleshoot and debug API issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery.
• Mentor junior developers, provide technical guidance, code reviews, and feedback to foster their professional growth and development.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback, analyze usage metrics, and iterate on API designs and features to meet business objectives and user needs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• [4+] years of experience in software development, with a focus on API design and development.
• Proficiency in Java programming language, SpringBoot framework, and reactive programming with Webflux.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and JSON.
• Experience with API security, authentication, authorization, and encryption standards.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), serverless computing, and microservices orchestration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, teamwork, and collaboration in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Certifications in Java, SpringBoot, or related technologies are a plus.
• Knowledge of Reltio is a plus.
