Business Development Manager - Industrial & Rigging Services

Location: Erlanger, KY (Cincinnati Area) – 90-Day On-Site Ramp, Hybrid Thereafter
Compensation: Competitive Base + Uncapped Commission (Target OTE provided upon interview)

Henke Industrial provides large-scale rigging, machinery relocation, and turnkey facility solutions for heavy industrial customers. We don't sell software; we sell complex, high-stakes operational solutions. As we expand our footprint, we are seeking a driven Business Development Manager who understands the industrial sector, speaks the language of Plant Managers, and can hunt for massive CAPEX and facility relocation projects.

Position Summary
This is not a standard desk-bound sales job. While you will use modern tools (HubSpot, Apollo, LinkedIn) to hunt for leads, you must be just as comfortable putting on steel-toed boots to walk a manufacturing floor. You will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and winning new business in the manufacturing, logistics, and heavy industrial sectors. You will partner directly with our operations and estimating teams to translate client problems into executable, profitable rigging and relocation projects.

Who We Are NOT Looking For
Traditional software (SaaS), retail, or generic B2B sales reps will not be considered a fit for this role. You must have an aptitude for industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Prospecting: Execute outbound campaigns (phone, email, LinkedIn) targeting Plant Managers, Facility Directors, and Operations Executives planning equipment moves or facility expansions.
• Technical Discovery: Qualify prospects by understanding their operational pain points, heavy equipment specs, and facility constraints.
• Site Walks & Scoping: Partner with our operations/estimating teams to conduct site visits, evaluate project feasibility, and gather intelligence for large-scale rigging, machinery moving, and warehouse setups.
• Pipeline Management: Maintain rigorous CRM hygiene in HubSpot, tracking deal stages from initial cold call to signed contract.
• Closing: Overcome objections, navigate complex industrial buying cycles (including CAPEX approvals), and win profitable business.

Required Qualifications

• Industrial Fluency: Proven B2B sales experience selling into manufacturing, industrial, construction, logistics, or heavy equipment sectors.
• The Hunter Mentality: Demonstrated success in outbound prospecting and building a book of business from scratch.
• Technical Aptitude: Ability to learn and discuss complex mechanical concepts, machinery relocation, and facility logistics with engineers and plant managers.
• Tech Stack: Proficiency in CRM management (HubSpot strongly preferred) and modern sales engagement tools (Apollo.io, ZoomInfo, or similar).
• Communication: Exceptional ability to build credibility quickly over the phone, via email, and face-to-face on a noisy shop floor.

Preferred (But Not Required) Edge

• Direct experience estimating or selling rigging, millwright, crane, or heavy-haul logistics services.
• An existing network of manufacturing and industrial facility contacts in the Midwest/Ohio Valley region.
