Industrial Maintenance Electrician

This hourly Industrial Maintenance Electrician role supports the production facility through electrical and electro‑mechanical preventive and corrective maintenance. Industrial Maintenance Electrician Location: Marysville, OH. Pay: hourly $34.95 per hour on the Scotts/Hawthorne step‑pay progression scale, paid weekly. Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical and electronic equipment and instrumentation; configure, scale, and validate instrumentation using laptop computer, HART communicator, or other appropriate test equipment. Restore and modify Allen Bradley (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, PLC‑5) PLC programs and verify correct software revisions/editions. Maintain PLC backup files using state‑of‑the‑art software and catalog these backups for support. Interpret electrical and electronic symbols and functions as they pertain to electrical drawings/schematics; read, interpret, and update Allen Bradley PLC ladder programs. Connect laptop computer to PLC via network protocols (serial, DH485, DH+, E‑net, C‑net, D‑net, RS‑485, RS‑232, etc.). Read, interpret, and update electrical blueprints, schematics, and flow diagrams. Perform associated mechanical repair and installations as required; assist mechanics with fault isolation and repair. Maintain records applicable to the job; use CMMS to obtain spare parts, retrieve work orders, generate new work orders, and sign out spare parts; complete repair tags. Record maintenance activities, develop and execute job plans, and communicate new procedures used in troubleshooting. Comply with housekeeping and safety rules. Qualifications High school diploma or GED (required). Associate’s degree or technical certification in electronics or electrical maintenance (preferred). At least 5 years prior experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance, equipment repair, or electronics. Mechanical maintenance experience (a plus). Demonstrated ability to think outside the box and find innovative solutions. Strong problem‑solving and continuous‑improvement focus with attention to detail. Excellent written and communication skills. Proven organizational skills; ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks in an environment with competing demands. Ability to operate electrical, electronic, and pneumatic test equipment. Ability to walk up 10 flights of stairs with tools. Personal computer skills and experience with SAP (a plus, but not required).
