Part Time Field Service Technician

Job Summary - Part Time Field Service Technician – Cleveland, OH Robotics and Digital Solutions (RDS) Division of The Hillman Group has an opening for a Part Time Field Service Technician in the Cleveland, OH area. You would begin your career with RDS as a Kiosk Technician training on key duplicating (Minute Key), tag engraving (Quick Tag) kiosks as well as 3rd party service (Eco-ATM, Pokemon). The territory consists of 40+ kiosks and number of hours per week is around 12 to 20. This role is based on experience, usually paying $20-24 an hour. Car Allowance will be provided along with cell-phone reimbursement and a corporate gas card for business miles. Benefits Wellness Program Employee Stock Purchase Plan Vacation/Paid Time Off/Sick Days/Floating Holidays Essential Job Functions Re-stock and perform routine service on kiosks as needed (determined by demand at the machine, or schedule). Perform on-call repairs or adjustments to the machine when the machine goes out of order. New kiosk Installations or swap newer kiosks of machines in the local area. Monitor machines in territory daily for issues and contact stores to resolve connectivity or power issues. Keep track of inventory for re-stocking machines that are in Kiosk Tech’s possession. Grow revenue in territory by optimizing machine locations, uptime, product mix, store relationships, etc. Employees are expected and encouraged to participate in safety and health program activities including immediately reporting hazards, immediately reporting unsafe work practices and incidents to supervisors, wearing required personal protective equipment, and participating in and supporting safety committee activities. Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED Background in electromechanical repair and maintenance (preferred). Prior experience in retail merchandising, field operations and customer service (preferred). A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a similar profile (preferred). Experience with tools and troubleshooting mechanical problems. Ability to read, write and speak fluent English to include technical jargon. Competencies – Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook Ability to always represent Hillman professionally Ability to work weekends when required Operational Equipment Must have an excellent driving record with a valid driver's license. Clean driving record is mandatory. Major driving violations will eliminate potential candidates. Must have reliable transportation with automobile insurance (mileage reimbursement) Must have a reliable cell phone (reimbursed) Work Environment and Physical Demands Work Environment: Sales/Service Environment varies due to location/store set-up. May be exposed to cramped quarters, dust, fumes or odors. Travel required daily. May have to drive 200 miles daily. Hand/eye coordination required. Function vision and hearing required. Physical Demands: Sales/Service Medium, lifting up to 30 lbs., occasionally pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.
