About the Role
The Company is seeking a General Counsel to play a pivotal role in its mission to enable intelligent devices everywhere. This is a unique opportunity to build and lead a legal department at a time when the company's governance, compliance, and risk frameworks are of utmost importance. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and owning the enterprise legal strategy, establishing post-IPO governance frameworks, and advising on the strategic growth and optimization of the global IP portfolio. The role also involves overseeing a proactive compliance program, managing legal aspects of corporate transactions, and providing counsel on employment and people-related legal matters. Applicants for the General Counsel position at the company should have a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school, an active bar license, and at least 12 years of legal experience, with a focus on in-house counsel leadership in a semiconductor or high-tech environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of corporate governance, complex commercial agreements, global IP protection, and regulatory compliance, particularly in the semiconductor industry. Experience in leading high-stakes transactions, a strong foundation in employment law, and the ability to manage cross-border legal matters are essential. The role requires a resilient self-starter with thick skin, sound judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, engineering-led culture.
