IT Knowledge Content Creator (Technical Writer)

Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, creative, and communicative IT Knowledge Content Creator (Technical Writer) to join our remote team. In this role, you will create, maintain, and update our enterprise knowledge base and documentation, translating complex IT solutions, services, and processes into clear, concise, and visually appealing content for our clients and internal stakeholders.

This is a dynamic remote position for a technical writer who excels at bridging complex technology and user comprehension. You will monitor analytics and chatbot search trends to identify content gaps, collaborate with subject matter experts to validate technical details, and coach contributors on knowledge-sharing best practices. Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Management
• Documentation & Writing: Write, edit, and proofread clear, concise, and engaging technical content, articles, and documentation following established process guidelines and best practices.
• Knowledge Base Maintenance: Use content management systems (such as ServiceNow) to publish, update, and maintain the quality, accuracy, and visual appeal of our knowledge base.
• SME Collaboration: Partner closely with subject matter experts, service owners, developers, and support agents to gather, validate, and translate technical information for diverse audiences.

Analytics, Optimization & Training
• Search Optimization: Monitor Knowledge Portal analytics, user feedback, and chatbot searches to identify content gaps, improve article searchability, and drive self-service resolution rates.
• Coaching & Training: Provide guidance, coaching, and training to new and existing staff on how to effectively use, contribute to, and maintain our knowledge management processes.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all published content remains relevant, up to date, and aligned with organizational quality standards.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Communications, Computer Science, English, or related discipline) or an equivalent combination of professional work experience.
• Technical Mastery:
oExcellent content writing and editing skills, with a proven ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
oHands-on experience working with content management systems and knowledge tools (specifically ServiceNow).
oStrong analytical abilities to leverage usage data, feedback, and search metrics to improve content effectiveness.
• Core Competencies: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; meticulous attention to detail for proofreading and style consistency; adaptable self-starter capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Attributes
• Background in IT technical support or troubleshooting, providing first-hand insight into client issues.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Markdown.
• Experience incorporating visual elements, graphical presentations, or social media communication formats to enhance content engagement.
