Entry-Level Customer Support Technician

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is seeking an Entry-Level Customer Support Technician to provide desktop and technical support services across FDOT locations. The selected candidate will support hardware/software installation, troubleshooting, audio-visual systems, Microsoft Office 365 environments, and end-user support activities.

This role is ideal for candidates with strong customer service skills, foundational IT support experience, and a desire to grow within desktop support and infrastructure operations.

Responsibilities include:

Provide desktop support for laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot hardware and software systems.
Support Microsoft Office 365 and Windows 10/11 environments.
Monitor and resolve assigned service desk tickets.
Document technical issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
Assist with audio-visual setup and video conferencing support.
Perform basic network and telephony troubleshooting.
Support inventory management, equipment deployment, and surplus activities.
Travel to FDOT field offices for onsite technical support and deployments.
Participate in team meetings, projects, and operational assignments.
Follow FDOT policies, procedures, and security standards.
