It is part of Saks Global’s portfolio of world-class luxury retailers and real estate assets. ****YOU WILL BE:****The Restaurant Host serves Neiman Marcus customers in a warm, accommodating, and professional manner by greeting and seating customers.****WHAT YOU WILL DO:***** Maintains presence at host stand / door to professionally and graciously greet and seat customers* Monitors server performance to ensure smooth service during the customers’ dining experience* Observes proper telephone etiquette* Handles reservations through OpenTable platform (including VIPs) and any additional inquiries regarding hours of operation, specials, events, etc.* Organizes reservations, maximizes seating during operating hours, and optimizes staffing and customer traffic* Adheres to established accounting procedures for all transactions, including all authorized methods of payment and maintains knowledge of the POS system* Keeps flow of service to standards (e.g., proper seating of customers to each wait station)* Participates in daily pre-shift meetings* Fulfills duties that may involve lifting objects (e.g., tables, chairs, highchairs, etc.)* Maintains cleanliness and presentability of all menus and menu covers* Maintains the highest level of hygiene standards to include, but not limited to:* Clean, pressed uniform jacket and accompanying clothing and shoes* Clean and professionally styled hair and nails, maintained to avoid food contamination risks* Adheres to posted work schedule and follows established procedures for schedule and shift changes****WHAT YOU WILL BRING:***** High School diploma or GED preferred* Knowledge of OpenTable platform* Excellent oral and written communication skills* Ability to work autonomously* Motivated and results-driven* Ability to interact graciously with the public and handle multiple duties at the same time* Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills* "Win together" mentality* Role requires standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying 35 pounds* Associates must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays****YOUR LIFE AND CAREER AT NEIMAN MARCUS:***** Opportunity to work in a dynamic fast paced environment at a company experiencing growth and transformation* Exposure to rewarding career advancement opportunities across the largest multi-brand luxury retailer from retail to distribution, to digital or corporate* Comprehensive benefits package for all eligible full-time employees (including medical, vision and dental)* An amazing employee discount****SALARY AND OTHER BENEFITS**:****The [starting salary/hourly rate] for this position is between [$XX,XXX – XX,XXX **annually**]/[$XX.XX-XX.XX **per hour**].
