Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianChampions Club is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our growing team! The Maintenance position performs ongoing hotel maintenance and completing repairs on equipment. Their duties include fixing machinery, painting, plumbing, heating and wiring.This is a part-time position, working approximately 20-30 hours per week.ResponsibilitiesRespond and attend to guest repair requestsPerform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubricationRepair machines, equipment, or structure, using tools such as hammers, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as electronic testing devicesIdentify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and shut-offs for buildingsAssure each day's activities and problems that occur are communicated to the other shifts using approved communication programs and standardsPerform routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repairTroubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment (e.g., equipment motor replacement), plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains), electrical equipment including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches and outlets, and other guest room itemsProgram televisions and perform general engineering-related dutiesAssist with surface preparation and painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement and the complete and thorough clean up of the painting or repair areaUse the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance workFix potential safety hazards to avoid any injuriesOther duties, responsibilities, and requirements may be assigned as necessaryExperience & SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalentMust be 18 years or olderOne year of experience in a hotelLicensed in a trade is a plusQualities & PreferencesDisplay solid knowledge and skill in the safe use of hand and power tools and other materials required to perform repair and maintenance tasksDisplay general knowledge of all engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance, energy management, and other systems, including devices that interact with such programsAbility to problem solve, reliable, and excellent organizational skills is requiredEffective verbal and written communication skillsWork varied shifts, to include weekends and holidaysAbility to adhere to all company policies and the code of conductExemplary time and resource management including good attendanceAbility to maintain peak performance during high stress situationsThis starting pay for this role is $18.00/hrChampions is a proud equal opportunity employer and all employees and qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other characteristic protected by law.
