About Brighter Boston Brighter Boston guides young adults to discover meaningful work and personal success through life‑changing professional internships in the event production industry. As a nonprofit workforce development organization, we bridge the gap between education and real‑world careers in live entertainment by providing hands‑on technical training, paid internships, and holistic career support to young adults ages 16‑25 who have been historically excluded from the arts. About the Role We’re looking for a passionate, organized, community‑driven part‑time School and Community Partnerships Manager to build relationships, strengthen career pathways, and help Brighter Boston grow its impact and reach. The role works closely with the Programs Director to implement curriculum and provide outreach to partner schools and organizations. Responsibilities Oversee in‑school technical theater training sessions for Boston Public Schools (BPS) students in middle and high school during the school day. Maintain and grow school and district‑level partnerships. Lead the BPS Production Initiative for 11‑15 school shows annually, including scheduling with schools, coordinating interns and mentors, and mentoring interns in management and show preparation. Manage school and community partner relations: facilitate meetings, share photos and outcomes, and attend college and career fairs to promote Brighter Boston. Support recruitment processes, both in‑school, virtual and in‑person, and supervise interns on‑site as needed. Assist BPS in production equipment management and compile/document program outcomes. Champion and serve as an ambassador for the organization, collaborating with the Programs team on curriculum resources and serving as a resource to young people by sharing knowledge and connections. Qualifications 2–4 years of experience teaching in‑school environments. 2–4 years of professional experience working in live events. Strong organizational and project‑management skills. Experience working with youth and families from diverse socioeconomic, racial, and ethnic backgrounds preferred. Excellent relationship‑building and customer‑service abilities. Comfort with technology and experience using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.). A positive problem‑solving mindset. Passion for teaching, working with young people, and a belief in the power of arts education. Experienced in technical theater/live event production and a proven commitment to equity, creativity, and empowering young artists through real‑world opportunities.
