The Electrical Engineer II is an important part of a highly collaborative team helping to innovate and release those world class products while learning and growing in their career.This role requires a minimum of 3-days per week in our Holtsville, NY (Long Island) office, 2 days remote (US).Works as part of a larger team lead by more senior engineers to design, develop and test new data capture productsCollaborates closely with a multidisciplinary team including Electrical, Software, Mechanical, Optical and Manufacturing EngineersOccasionally interfaces with external partners, vendors and customersReviews test results and performs root cause analyses to identify problemsRuns tests designed by more experienced engineers.Seeks out new tools to analyze and solve problems.Responsible for circuit development and schematic entryPerforms electrical component selectionCreates and tests prototypes at the component or circuit level to verify they meet design requirementsUses common electrical test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Digital Multi-meters, Power Supplies, Frequency Generators, Logic analyzers, etc.Directs and works with technicians to perform testingDocuments test requirements and results to ISO 9000 standardsMakes and implements recommendations to immediate team to enhance performance and improve productivity.Builds productive working relationships internally and externally.Makes changes to or upgrades existing electrical designs. Enhances and improves existing technologies to apply to new solutions.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree and Minimum 2+ years of experience (in Engineering or related technical field)OR Master's degree with Minimum 1+ year of experienceElectronic Hardware Design ExperienceExperience with common electrical test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Digital Multi-meters, Power Supplies, etc.Preferred Qualifications:Cadence experience a plusSolid understanding of electronics fundamentalsKnowledge of, or experience with embedded systems a plusAbility to understand Embedded SoftwareSchematic entry and simulation experienceFamiliarity with fundamentals of PCB layoutDemonstrated examples as a team player with ability to navigate organizational boundariesStrong verbal and written communication skills with a high attention to detailAbility to communicate technical details or issues clearly and succinctlyZebra is an equal opportunity employer.
