What We're Looking For The Advanced Data Capture (ADC) group designs, develops and brings to market the highest quality and performance imaging‑based readers for use in retail, warehouse, and factory applications. The Electrical Engineer II is an important part of a highly collaborative team helping to innovate and release those world‑class products while learning and growing in their career. This role requires a minimum of 3 days per week in our Holtsville, NY (Long Island) office and 2 days remote (US). Responsibilities Work as part of a larger team led by senior engineers to design, develop, and test new data capture products. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including Electrical, Software, Mechanical, Optical, and Manufacturing Engineers. Occasionally interface with external partners, vendors, and customers. Review test results and perform root‑cause analyses to identify problems. Run tests designed by more experienced engineers. Seek out new tools to analyze and solve problems. Be responsible for circuit development and schematic entry. Perform electrical component selection. Create and test prototypes at the component or circuit level to verify they meet design requirements. Use common electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, frequency generators, and logic analyzers. Direct and work with technicians to perform testing. Document test requirements and results to ISO 9000 standards. Make and implement recommendations to immediate team to enhance performance and improve productivity. Build productive working relationships internally and externally. Make changes to or upgrade existing electrical designs. Enhance and improve existing technologies to apply to new solutions. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and minimum 2+ years of experience in engineering or related technical field. OR Master's degree with minimum 1+ year of experience. Electronic hardware design experience. Experience with common electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, etc. Preferred Qualifications Cadence experience is a plus. Solid understanding of electronics fundamentals. Knowledge of, or experience with, embedded systems is a plus. Ability to understand embedded software. Schematic entry and simulation experience. Familiarity with fundamentals of PCB layout. Demonstrated examples as a team player with ability to navigate organizational boundaries. Strong verbal and written communication skills with a high attention to detail. Ability to communicate technical details or issues clearly and succinctly. Pay Range $76,640.00 - $114,960.00 Annual Incentive Compensation In addition to base pay, Zebra offers a performance‑based annual cash incentive with a target equal to 10% of base pay, in accordance with the applicable incentive plan.
