Location: Holly Hill, FL (on-site; includes evening and weekend work during tournaments and events)

About Pictona

Pictona is a community center in Holly Hill, Florida, part of the greater Daytona Beach area, focused primarily on pickleball. It has 49 pickleball courts, including 13 covered courts and a championship court that seats 1,200. It also offers an activity center, locker rooms, a player shop, and The Kitchen, our on-site restaurant.

The Role

The Marketing Manager promotes Pictona's programs and services to members and to the wider community. They also build the Pictona brand through consistent, engaging communication. This is a hands-on role for a self-directed marketer who writes well, creates content, and builds relationships with staff, members, volunteers, and community partners.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy and Planning

• Develop annual and campaign-level marketing plans with the management team.
• Set up the processes and tools to carry out those plans, and track results.
• Recommend new programs, events, and partnership opportunities to management.

Promote Pictona's Offerings

• Memberships
• Tournaments hosted by Pictona
• Special events for visitors
• Leagues and organized member events
• Classes, courses, and clinics
• Summer and winter camps
• Florida Health Care Plans Activity Center classes
• The Player Shop
• The Kitchen

Channels and Content

• Manage the website and keep all information current.
• Write and produce Pictona News , the bi-weekly member newsletter.
• Plan, create, and publish social media content, including photos and short-form video.
• Design flyers, signage, and other print and digital materials.
• Oversee messaging on Welcome Desk signs and the street-side marquee.
• Build and maintain the contact database of individuals, clubs, and prospects.
• Plan and send email marketing campaigns, and track performance.

Public Relations and Community

• Seek media coverage through traditional, digital, and social channels.
• Build working relationships with the Convention & Visitors Bureau (including its sports division) and the local hotel and restaurant association.
• Strengthen Pictona's brand and community image.

Research, Budget, and Reporting

• Gather member and visitor feedback through surveys and other research.
• Manage the marketing budget and monitor costs.
• Report on campaign results and key metrics to management.

What You Bring

• Strong social media marketing skills, including content creation and analytics.
• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• Design experience with tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact) and contact database management.
• Ability to update and manage a website through a content management system (WordPress).
• Knowledge of pickleball and the local community's involvement in the sport.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach with staff, members, and volunteers.
• Ability to manage several projects independently and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Five years of marketing experience using the skills above.
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
• Must live in the greater Daytona Beach area.
• Willing to work evenings and weekends to capture content during tournaments and events.
