Renewals Specialist

Customer Success Renewal Specialists play a critical role within the Customer Success organization by owning the execution of customer retention and contract renewal strategies. They are responsible for ensuring customers consistently realize value from Awardco’s solutions, enabling smooth and successful renewals while proactively identifying opportunities to strengthen long-term partnerships. Through effective customer engagement, cross-functional collaboration, and strong operational execution, they help protect recurring revenue, reduce churn, and support the company’s continued growth and customer success outcomes. What you will do: Manage the End-to-End Renewal Workflow: Execute the complete renewal and retention workflow for assigned accounts, including outreach, proposal, contract coordination, and tracking, ensuring on-time and accurate completion. Proactive Customer Engagement and Risk Mitigation: Facilitate customer communication throughout the renewal lifecycle. Proactively engage customers to reinforce value, address objections, and manage risks by analyzing customer health indicators and usage data to inform retention strategy. Develop Commercial Strategy and Negotiation: Create and present clear, value-based renewal proposals, and support commercial negotiations by leveraging product and pricing knowledge to identify and secure upsell and expansion opportunities. Ensure Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with internal stakeholders (Client Success, Sales, Finance, Legal, etc.) to align on renewal strategy, resolve issues, and ensure a seamless customer experience, including running and managing key stakeholder meetings. Maintain Operational Excellence and Compliance: Manage contract workflows and approvals to ensure compliance and reduce errors. Proactively identify process gaps and partner with managers to implement improvements that increase effectiveness and scale. Oversee Data Integrity and Organization: Maintain thorough documentation, accurate data, and strong CRM hygiene (notes, status, sentiment) to support reliable forecasting, while staying highly organized across multiple renewals. Foster Professional Growth and Business Acumen: Continuously build skills through participation in training and align all daily renewal activities with broader business objectives to support long-term growth (both personal and business). What you will bring: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Strong understanding of the SaaS business model and customer success principles. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and time management skills. Experience collaborating cross-functionally Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
