Job Description
Title
Travel Labor & Delivery RN

Schedule
- Weekends: 3 weekend shifts per contract
- Call: For AM & PM shifts - 2 calls required every 6 weeks

Assignment Details
- Patient Population: Neonates/Infants and Adults
- Unit Type: Labor & Delivery (includes triage)
- Typical Daily Census: ~15
- Patient Ratio: 1:1-1:2

Requirements
- RN Licensure: GA or Compact license required at submission
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- Travel experience required
- Charting System: Epic required
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP
- Preferred Certification: AWHONN Intermediate

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients during labor and delivery, including vaginal deliveries and C-sections.
- Monitor and manage postpartum hemorrhage and shock response.
- Conduct external and internal fetal monitoring, including IUPC.
- Administer medication for high-risk antepartum care, including magnesium sulfate and antihypertensives.
- Perform neonatal care, including APGAR assessments.
- Assist in sterile vaginal exams and triage of obstetrical patients.

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 24 hours; 1 pre-approved time off allowed
- RTO Policy: Maximum 7 days per contract; must be finalized at submission
- Holiday Expectation: Travelers may be required to work major holidays during assignment
