MRI Technologist

Principal Accountabilities Position the patient on the examination table and place the specified coil near the area of interest following Radiologist protocols. Demonstrate use of the microphone that allows patient and technologist communication during the examination. Enter data such as patient history, anatomical area to be scanned, orientation specified, and positioning into the computer. Enter commands to specify scan sequences and adjust transmitters and receivers. Observe the patient through the control room window and TV monitor to ensure safety and comfort. View images on the display screen to ensure image quality. Key in data on the camera keyboard to capture images. Alert staff entering the magnet room to the danger of metallic objects. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: Bachelor's Degree in Radiography Program or related field. State RT License / BLS. Preferred: MR Certified.
