Stepp’s Towing & Heavy Transport is seeking Heavy-Duty Tow Truck Operators to join our team! We’re looking for candidates with a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and effective problem-solving abilities.

Essential Functions

• Operate Heavy Tow Trucks, Rollbacks, and Service Trucks efficiently and safely
• Respond to Florida Traffic Incident Management Program calls and RISC
• Work safely at accident scenes, often in traffic and all-weather conditions
• Cooperate closely with law enforcement and other first responders
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers
• Operate GPS mapping devices
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

Physical Requirements

• Lifting, crawling, pulling, constant use of hands, bending, reaching, climbing
• Significant physical strength and stamina

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with at least 2 years of verifiable experience
• Current DOT Medical Card
• Proven heavy-duty towing experience preferred
• Mechanical knowledge a plus.
• Registered in the DOT Clearinghouse
• Clean driving record for the last 3 years
• Able to pass a background check and drug test

Commission Pay

• Graduated commission pay scale starting at 25%
  • This pay structure should not be misconstrued as a salaried position. 

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts - Monday to Friday
  
  • On-Call every 3rd night and every 3rd weekend of the month

  • Heavy Duty Towing operators earn a 1% increase each year they’re employed with Stepp’s until they reach 30%.
