Moretrench Class A OperatorMoretrench Class A operators are the top skill level of Moretrench heavy equipment operators.Moretrench, a Keller Company, has been in existence since the late 1800's. We perform industrial work in Florida with the majority of our work in the Tampa area. Fertilizer and power being our primary industries. We want the best!ResponsibilitiesWork under the direction of the Lead Operator, Earthwork Foreman, Earthwork Superintendent, and/or other designated project leadsFollows and maintains safe operating procedures and protocols for all equipment operation and field activity in accordance with Moretrench safety policy and OSHA requirementsSafely performs physical duties associated with operation of Moretrench heavy equipment including but not limited to bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, handling, climbing into and out of, and around heavy equipmentWorks safely in a wide variety of climatic conditions and job site environments commonly found at Moretrench job sitesPerforms daily greasing and fluid checks and assumes responsibility for the maintenance and safe operation of any and all assigned pieces of equipmentInspects assigned equipment prior to each use; and makes appropriate, accurate, and timely entries into the operator's checklist / equipment log for each piece of equipment operatedImmediately reports any equipment damage, maintenance problems or concerns and safety issues to the Foreman and/or SuperintendentFollows direction of the Foreman and/or Superintendent to overcome issues with changing and/or unforeseen field conditions or project scopeQualificationsMinimum 5 years' experience operating multiple pieces of heavy equipment at Class A operator levelExtensive experience in heavy equipment operations involving mass excavations; clearing and grubbing; backfilling and compacting; excavating and pipe laying; and construction and maintenance of embankments, berms, and dikesIn the case of a truck loading excavator, the ability to fully and safely load loads trucks in an efficient manner to meet the goals of the projectDemonstrate the skills of a finish grade operator (tolerance of 1/10 of a foot or better) on at least one piece of equipment, dozer or excavatorSkilled and fully competent in using GPS system as a grading tool to achieve gradesSkilled at the practice of operating safely on worksites according to OSHA, MSHA and Moretrench safety protocols and requirementsNote that all job site locations are remote and temporary, so a form of transportation is required.
