Job Category : Property Management Requisition Number : HOUSI009202 Posted : July 22, 2026 Full-Time On-site Locations Showing 1 location Village Crossroads 1 Senior Communities | 4313-A Fitch Ave Nottingham, MD 21236, USA Description Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour Catholic Charities of Baltimore, Senior Communities is currently seeking a Housing Associate who supports the effective day-to‑day operations of a Senior Community by ensuring high quality housing and services are provided to all residents. This role is accountable for managing eligibility, Recertification process, maintaining audit-ready files, rent collection, reporting requirements, processing workorders to sustain property standards and resident satisfaction. Success in this position is demonstrated through timely, accurate work, compliance with HUD and agency requirements, and professional, compassionate service to residents and stakeholders. The work schedule is Monday to Friday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM. Catholic Charities Senior Communities develops and operates affordable, supportive communities for older adults with a resolve to nurture a spirit of purpose, wellness, and harmony among both our residents and colleagues. We offer 24 locations in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Garrett County and Harford Counties and Baltimore City.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conducts interim and annual recertifications interviews and prepares complete, accurate, and timely documentation to ensure ongoing resident eligibility and compliance with HUD, Maryland Community Development Administration, and investor requirements. Maintains applicant and resident files in accordance with regulatory and agency standards, ensuring files are audit‑ready, accurate, and complete at all times. Manages the waiting list and application process by accurately tracking applicants, communicating status updates, and ensuring fair, timely processing in compliance with established policies and regulations. Maintains accurate records and prepares, reviews, and submits required reports within established timelines to support regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and funding requirements. Distributes rent statements and collects related fees accurately and on schedule, ensuring proper documentation, reconciliation, and timely follow‑up on discrepancies or delinquencies. Oversees the work order process by entering, tracking, and closing routine, preventive, and annual unit inspection work orders to ensure timely resolution, resident satisfaction, and property standards are maintained. Prepares and distributes a monthly newsletter that provides clear, accurate, and timely information to residents, supporting engagement, awareness, and community communication. Performs other duties as assigned.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or equivalent. Two years clerical experience. Certification/Licensure: Certified Occupancy Specialist within one (1) year of employment.REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Acts with discretion, tact, and professionalism in all situations, maintaining confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive resident, financial, and agency information. Maintains composure and effectiveness in stressful or fast‑paced situations, responding to competing priorities while sustaining service quality and compliance. Demonstrates proficiency in administrative and clerical functions, including managing calendars, email, recordkeeping, and documentation using Microsoft Outlook and related systems to support operational efficiency. Requires the ability to utilize computer systems and software necessary to perform position functions. Basic Windows PC, web browsing (i.e. Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.), and Microsoft Outlook skills required. Other Microsoft Office application knowledge, such as Word, Excel PowerPoint, Skype, and OneDrive desired.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods, including sitting or standing, to complete administrative, documentation, and resident service tasks. Requires the ability to move about the housing community and office environment to perform job duties, attend meetings, conduct unit inspections, and respond to resident needs. Requires positioning oneself in various environments, including navigating tight or confined spaces, to complete inspections, file retrieval, or work order‑related tasks. Requires repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and fingers, including typing, data entry, filing, and handling documentation throughout the workday. Requires the ability to communicate effectively with residents, staff, vendors, and external agencies through verbal, written, and electronic means to exchange accurate information and ensure understanding. Requires the ability to assess the accuracy, neatness, and completeness of work products, including resident files, reports and correspondence, to meet quality and compliance standards. Requires hearing and vision abilities, with or without correction, sufficient to observe, communicate, review documentation, and perform job duties safely and effectively.
