Job Title

Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Location

Tacoma, WA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | 3x12-hour shifts, flex between days and nights (~50/50 split), including weekends; 2–3 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care across a high-volume OR environment handling 30–40 cases per day across 11 suites
• Scrub and circulate on a broad range of surgical cases including neuro, spine, ortho, vascular, thoracic, general, trauma, GYN, urology, ENT, robotics, and plastics
• Respond to trauma call within 20 minutes and non-trauma call within 30 minutes as required by on-call schedule
• Collaborate with charge nurses and unit management to maintain patient safety and workflow efficiency
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Float to designated units as operationally required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in the state of Washington (or compact eligibility)
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience
• Trauma OR experience required
• Demonstrated experience scrubbing surgical cases
• Robotics experience required (DaVinci system)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• COVID vaccination required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience across multiple surgical service lines including neuro, spine, vascular, or thoracic
• Familiarity with high-volume, fast-paced OR environments
