Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant (MA-C) to join our outpatient facility, specializing in oncology. This position involves a range of essential duties including collecting patient vitals, rooming patients, setting up examination rooms, and providing support to healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and record patient vital signs.
• Room patients and prepare them for examination.
• Assist healthcare providers with various clinical tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment rooms.
• Perform front office duties as needed.
• Engage in patient follow-up communication and scheduling.
• Handle medical records and chart preparation.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a healthcare setting.
• Certifications: BLS and MA-C certification required.
• Skills: Proficient in healthcare terminology and patient care procedures.
• Familiarity with the EPIC charting system is preferred.

Facility Information

The facility primarily serves adult patients, with an estimated daily census of 30 patients. It features 12 exam rooms dedicated to outpatient oncology services, including chemotherapy infusion appointments.

Additional Information

Candidates may be expected to float to other nearby facilities as needed based on patient census and staffing requirements. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team are essential for success in this role.

Interested candidates should possess a Washington state MA-C license; MA-R licenses will not be accepted.

Work Requirements

• Availability to work holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
