Maintenance TechnicianWe are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to join a well-established manufacturing operation in High Point, NC. This position is part of a close-knit maintenance team with extensive tenure and a strong safety culture. This role offers a unique opportunity for career growth and advancement into a leadership position.If you enjoy troubleshooting equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and working in a low-drama environment where safety and teamwork are valued, we'd love to hear from you.Position Responsibilities:Complete assigned work orders in a timely manner.Reports parts and materials utilized on work orders in order to maintain inventory levels of essential spare parts.Promotes safe practice with regards to our Regulator and Safety Departments.Performs welding and fabrication for plant & facility.Performs preventive maintenance and reports unsafe conditions to management.Performs painting, carpentry, concrete and other trades as required.Performs tool operating such as grinders, pipe threaders, metal saws, drill press, and other tools as needed.Essential skills and experience:Ability to utilize both hand tools and pipe cutters, threading equipment and drill press.Ability to drive a forklift.Ability to understand both written and verbal instructions.Ability to perform maintenance on and repair pumps.Ability to climb ladders, lift up to 75lbs. and be able to enter and work in confined spaces.Ability to operate company vehicle.What We OfferStarting pay of $25/hour$1/hour increase after 100 daysAnnual performance and wage reviews with guaranteed annual increasesQuarterly bonus program averaging approximately $300 per quarterRetention bonus during the first yearAnnual bonus opportunity averaging approximately 10% of annual earnings (prorated during first year)Paid lunch breakBuilt-in overtime opportunitiesOn-call rotation approximately one weekend per month with minimum call-in payCompany-provided tools, uniforms, and PPEStrong safety culture with an excellent workers' compensation recordPre-Employment RequirementsBackground checkDrug screenPhysical examinationRespirator fit testCareer Growth OpportunityThis is more than a maintenance position.
