Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Seamstress to manufacture fabric awnings from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, at $20.00 per hour. The role involves sewing individual awning projects using acrylic fabric, vinyl-coated fabric, and canvas as part of a cross-functional manufacturing team. Advancement opportunities include progression to Lead Fabricator.
Responsibilities
- Cut fabric according to patterns and project specifications.
- Follow patterns and accurately measure materials.
- Assemble fabric awning components.
- Operate walking-foot and single-needle industrial sewing machines.
- Sew awning materials, including acrylic fabric, vinyl-coated fabric, and canvas.
- Finish seams and inspect completed work.
- Maintain dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years of industrial sewing experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating industrial sewing machines.
- Ability to read patterns and measure fabric accurately.
- Quality control experience.
- Strong attention to detail.
