Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial landscape construction projects.
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services using estimating software.
- Manage the bidding process, including timely proposal submission and client follow-up to secure new projects.
- Support project execution by assisting with project setup, scheduling, coordination, billing, and change order management.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, field staff, vendors, subcontractors, and leadership, to ensure project success.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and billing to help drive profitability and maintain financial performance.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in commercial landscape construction, estimating, project management, or a related green-industry field.
- Proficiency in reading plans, performing quantity takeoffs, developing pricing, and preparing competitive proposals.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple bids and projects while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities to identify issues, evaluate options, and keep projects moving forward.
- Valid driver's license required for occasional site visits and project meetings.
