Job Summary and Responsibilities As our CT Technologist, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions. Every day, you will adeptly create detailed cross‑sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process. To be successful in this role, you will deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes a comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses that guide effective patient care. Perform CT exams on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocols under the direction of the Medical Director. Prepare equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards. Problem‑solve equipment failure and imaging quality; contact the service representative or CES regarding equipment problems. Ensure that daily equipment and room maintenance are performed during/after each procedure, and that special precautions and measures are performed to ensure infection control standards. Complete all quality checks and ensure that equipment logs are maintained. Complete all clinical supply inventories, ensuring that each diagnostic room is complete with the necessary supplies required to perform the procedure. Job Requirements Required High School Diploma/GED Medical Radiographer: TX (MRT) BLS – CPR, within 14 days of hire Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT(R)) Registered Technologist Computed Tomography (ARRT(CT)) within 9 months of hire Preferred Associate’s Degree One (1) year of radiology experience / One (1) year of radiography clinical rotation experience in a healthcare setting Where You'll Work St. Joseph Health Madison Hospital is a 25‑bed critical access hospital in Madisonville, Texas offering a Level IV Trauma Center, IP and OP services, therapy, emergency care, skilled nursing care, injury treatment and more.
