About the Role

As an integral member of the Aortic Disease Program, you will provide support to patients throughout their care journey, which includes:

• Outpatient consultations and ongoing management
• Inpatient care and procedural assistance

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care in both outpatient and inpatient environments, including initial evaluations, follow-up visits, and hospital management.
• Assist with aortic procedures and perioperative care, coordinating imaging, diagnostics, and surgical planning.
• Engage in multidisciplinary case discussions and collaborate with teams in cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and vascular surgery.
• Conduct telehealth appointments and manage patient communications through the Epic platform.
• Ensure continuity of care by coordinating with referring providers and subspecialists.
• Educate patients and their families about aortic disease, treatment options, and long-term management strategies.
• Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing clinical quality, safety, and patient experience.
• Participate in clinical research and program development opportunities.

Requirements

• Education: Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) program.
• Licensure & Certifications:
  • Valid California NP license.
  • DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate (CSRC).
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Current ACLS certification.
  • Additional certifications as required by the department.
• Experience: Previous experience in cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, or aortic disease is preferred. New graduates with a keen interest in complex cardiovascular care are encouraged to apply.
