Occupational Therapist - Per Diem

Nature and Scope The Occupational Therapist will have flexibility in applying professional judgment, discretion, and skill in patient management and program development. The Occupational Therapist will review physician referrals for Occupational Therapy services and utilize information obtained from patient records relative to their medical history, social emotional disorders, and prognosis in order to select appropriate evaluation procedures for identifying patients' functional abilities and disabilities. Location Travel between the two offices located in Quincy, CA, and Greenville, CA may be required. Compensation Compensation Philosophy: 13 pay increments on our clinical pay scales to compensate successful candidate for 30 years of relevant experience. Compensation Range: $66.61 - $94.97 / hour Job Status & Shift Information Per Diem, non-benefited Employment in inpatient, swing bed, outpatient, and skilled nursing facility departments; may assist across these departments as needed. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution. Current California Occupational Therapist License. Current Healthcare Provider BLS Certification approved by the AHA. Experience: 2–3 years’ experience in an acute care hospital, rehabilitation center, and outpatient setting. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Compassionate and attentive to detail. Up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices. Ability to solve problems independently. Excellent analytical and logical thinking. Ability to manage patients with different personalities. Ability to write reports and correspondence at a professional level. Proficiency with computers and software. Drive to continually learn new treatment techniques. Completion of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)-accredited residency program.
