As a family-owned company with over a century of expertise in crafting gourmet nuts, trail mixes, snacks, and coffee, we are seeking a detail-oriented, efficient, multi-tasking Part-Time Seasonal Retail Sales Associate. The Seasonal Retail Sales Associate is responsible for creating an exceptional holiday experience for every guest who visits Ferris Coffee & Nut Co. Working alongside our Lead Baristas and retail team members, this role provides outstanding customer service while supporting both our retail store and café during the busiest time of the year.Seasonal Retail Sales Associates welcome customers, assist with gift selections, prepare select café beverages, process purchases, fulfill holiday gift orders, and help maintain a clean, well-stocked, and inviting store. They play an important role in helping our team deliver the warm, hospitable experience Ferris is known for throughout the holiday season.This is a temporary, part-time position through December 31st, 2026, with shifts typically scheduled between 9:00am-3:00pm on weekdays and Saturdays.Guest Experience & Customer ServiceWelcome every guest with hospitality and provide an exceptional customer experience.Assist customers with gift selections by recommending products, holiday assortments and café offerings.Process transactions accurately using the point-of-scale system.Answer customer questions in person and over the phone, escalating concerns to a Lead Barista or Café Manager when appropriate.Promote sales through suggestive selling, product sampling and recommending complementary products.Store OperationsWork alongside Lead Baristas to support smooth daily operations and provide efficient service during busy periods.Prepare select beverages & food according to Ferris standards.Help maintain a clean, organized and well-stocked café, retail floor and workstations.Maintain attractive retail displays by stocking merchandise, organizing shelves and replenishing inventory throughout the day.Become knowledgeable about Ferris products, café menu offerings, seasonal promotions and company standards.Holiday Gift SupportSupport holiday gift order fulfillment as needed by assembling, packaging, labeling and preparing orders for pickup or shipment.Inventory & CommunicationCommunicate any supply shortages, order discrepancies or quality concerns promptly to the Café Manager.Receive, stock and organize incoming merchandise and supplies.Alert Lead Baristas or the Café Manager of customer concerns, operational issues or inventory needs.Perform other duties as assigned.Key QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.Previous experience in fulfillment, retail operations, or hospitality preferred.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a busy seasonal environment.Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented with a positive attitude.Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position involves sitting, walking and lifting less than 30 pounds for long periods of time throughout the day and up to 50 pounds on occasion. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer terminal. Regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
