Job Duties Perform and report various analyses from multiple specimen sources. Provide the highest level of patient care and maximize patient satisfaction. Meet qualifications to care for patients in the specific age range on the assigned clinical area. Maintain an expected level of productivity and manage multiple work processes efficiently. Complete tasks in a timely manner, handle specimens properly, and confirm identification and specimen suitability. Use appropriate accessioning procedures and recognize discrepancies on patient orders. Resolve and report problems and solutions as appropriate. Perform instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control; replenish reagents and supplies per established protocols. Follow established reporting procedures (computerized, verbal, manual) and navigate multiple computer applications. Assist in training and orientation of new employees and participate in educational activities. Successfully complete initial and subsequent competency exams. Position Details Medical Laboratory Scientist – Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university and successful completion of an ASCP/NAACLS‑accredited Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science program; or Bachelor’s degree in a laboratory science with ASCP categorical certification; or at least two years’ experience in a role equivalent to a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT). Medical Laboratory Technician – Associate degree in laboratory science with certification or eligible new graduate from an accredited institution. Military experience is considered and welcomed (US Army 68K MLT, 71E CLS, US Navy MLT, US Air Force MLT, etc.). Sign‑on bonus up to $12,500 for eligible candidates.
