Title: CNA / Nurse Assistant - Emergency Department (Nights)

Location: Syracuse, NY

Duration: 14 Weeks

Schedule: 3x12-Hour Night Shifts | 36 Hours Per Week

Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend

Position Overview:

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support patient care within a fast-paced Emergency Department environment. This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in high-acuity settings and are passionate about delivering quality patient care while working alongside a collaborative healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department
• Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Obtain and document vital signs accurately
• Assist with bathing, feeding, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to nursing staff
• Serve as a patient safety companion/sitter when needed
• Maintain patient comfort, dignity, and safety
• Support nurses and providers with patient care activities
• Transport and reposition patients safely
• Maintain accurate documentation and records
• Follow infection prevention and safety protocols
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Required Qualifications:

• Current New York State CNA Certification
• Current BLS Certification
• Minimum 1 year of patient care experience
• Minimum 2 years of ADL experience
• Level I Trauma Hospital experience required
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Emergency Department experience
• Float Pool experience
• Patient Safety Companion/Sitter experience
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
