Job Opportunity – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 36 hours per week. Every other weekend required. No call required. Patient ratio 1:2. May be required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity level.

Highlights:

• Work in a 18-bed Intensive Care Unit with a daily census of 16 patients
• Manageable 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio on days, nights, and weekends
• Epic charting system utilized facility-wide
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and interpretation services
• Treat diverse patient diagnoses including respiratory failure, ARDS, sepsis, cardiac arrest, DKA, GI bleed, and PE
• 36 hours of orientation provided

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and ventilator management required
• Skills required: care of ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, starting and maintaining IVs, infection prevention, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Charge nurse experience and conscious sedation experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required
• Two professional references required: at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor; charge RN acceptable for second reference
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
