Job Description

This role provides hands-on support at multiple job sites from Poipu to Waimea, performing a variety of general labor tasks. You will meet at the main shop in Lihue each workday and then travel directly to assigned locations. Typical work includes debris cleanup, hauling trash, and assisting with other site preparation and maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Meet at the shop in Lihue each morning and travel to various job sites between Poipu and Waimea as directed.
• Perform debris cleanup at job sites, ensuring work areas remain safe, organized, and free of hazards.
• Haul trash, construction materials, and other waste to designated disposal or collection areas.
• Assist with general labor tasks as needed, including loading and unloading materials and equipment.
• Use basic hand tools safely and effectively under guidance and training from supervisors.
• Support demolition activities after receiving training on proper use of tools and safety procedures.
• Follow all safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment at all times.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment at the shop and at each job site.
• Work cooperatively with team members and follow instructions to complete daily assignments on schedule.

Essential Skills

• Experience performing general labor tasks such as debris cleanup and hauling trash.
• Ability to use basic hand tools safely and willingness to be trained for demolition work.
• Reliability in meeting at the Lihue shop on time and traveling to multiple job sites between Poipu and Waimea.
• Capability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.
• Commitment to following safety procedures and wearing required personal protective equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior general labor or production experience in a similar work environment.
• Familiarity with construction or demolition sites is a plus.
• Comfort working outdoors and in changing weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
• Local labor experience on Kauai is preferred.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, weekday role with a regular schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Work takes place at various outdoor and semi-outdoor job sites from Poipu to Waimea, with daily reporting to the shop in Lihue before heading to assignments. The environment is active and physically demanding, involving debris cleanup, trash hauling, and general labor tasks around construction or maintenance areas. You will use basic hand tools and may work around demolition activities after receiving training. This is a Contract position based out of Lihue, HI.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
