Registered Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering essential training and education to our staff, ensuring compliance with OPWDD standards and enhancing the quality of care provided to individuals. The role requires a proactive approach to training and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct AMAP (Approved Medication Administration Personnel) training sessions to ensure staff are competent in medication administration and management.
2. Provide comprehensive diabetes education and training, focusing on management strategies, monitoring, and care for individuals with diabetes.
3. Develop and deliver additional OPWDD-related training programs as required, ensuring all staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to assess training needs and develop tailored educational materials.
5. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, making adjustments as needed to improve outcomes.
6. Stay updated with the latest OPWDD guidelines and best practices to ensure training content is current and relevant.
7. Provide ongoing support and mentorship to staff, fostering a culture of learning and professional development.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Experience in training and education, preferably within an OPWDD setting.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
