Senior Data Analyst - ProductVestwell is the financial technology company powering the new savings economy. Vestwell's platform serves a diverse clientele, including financial advisers, employers, third-party administrators, financial institutions, payroll providers, government agencies, and individual savers.Vestwell is expanding and we're keen to add an amazing Product Manager to our team who's passionate about data—we're talking everything from pipelines to automation to AI. We're looking for someone who loves to solve problems and is driven to build great solutions. You will work across all our product lines - translating end-user needs into focused, actionable steps, that result in timely data products. You will help refine and execute our product vision, improving the requirement-intake process, and implementing new processes on a quarterly basis. Vestwell is a continuously evolving data engine at its heart.If you are someone who dives into whatever challenge is placed in front of you, you will be involved in the planning and management of the following facets of our work process: product requirements, functional requirements, acceptance criteria, test cases, AI deep research. Your job requires an amazing relationship with operations, development, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver new product features that critically impact the growth of our company.What Will You Be Doing?Understand high-level strategic initiatives and stakeholder requirements; identify opportunities; and translate inputs into buildable features with clear benefitsEffectively communicate and share plans and decisionsPartner with developers to break down product requirements into discrete tasks with clear functional requirements/acceptance criteriaAssist QA team in understanding the appropriate positive and negative test cases to ensure test coverage and a high level of code qualityProvide constant and iterative feedback to the development team, including identifying bugs and assisting in resolutionComplete functional testing and provide initial product sign-off when features are ready for end-user verificationDevelop processes and tools for tracking usage trends and allow data to inform future development plansRequirements The Necessities3+ years of Product Management experienceExceptional business and systems analysis skillsAbility to thoroughly understand and document business/functional requirements and use casesConsistent management of project work through the SDLCAbility to work in a fast-paced, project-oriented environment to meet deadlines under tight time constraintsAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment consisting of Product, Engineering, and QA resourcesExcellent communication skills, both in verbal and written formatsMust have the ability to interface with internal stakeholdersExperience with SQL, must be able to read it and write it to some provable extentThe ExtrasFinance or retirement-plan knowledgeData-science degreeData warehousing experienceSnowflake experienceFormer junior engineerThis role will be based in either our New York or Austin office, and will be part of Vestwell's hybrid in-office operation.The expected base salary range for this position is $95K - $115K base. This position is eligible to participate in the Company Bonus Pool and is eligible to receive new hire equity in the Company. From there, the process varies by role but typically includes a skills or experience-based assessment, such as a coding interview, portfolio review, or deeper discussion of your relevant experience. Successful candidates then move on to a virtual or in-person interview panel. Before extending an offer, we complete a reference check with a current or former manager and a peer. Throughout the process, we prioritize transparency, clear communication, and minimizing surprises.
