Vehicle Service Technician (VST) Location: Las Vegas, NV We’re hiring a Vehicle Service Technician (VST) responsible for ensuring our ambulances are effectively serviced, safe, and ready for response. This role helps maintain timely, high‑quality transportation services, care, and customer service to patients. Responsibilities Ensure the ambulances are fully stocked, safely maintained, and ready for transportation services. Maintain a safe and clean vehicle environment for the crew and patients. Manage daily vehicle inventory checks to verify supplies and equipment, update the equipment tracking log, and request replacements as necessary. Run regular mechanical checks including oil, washer fluid, and batteries, and report any issues to the Fleet Manager. Document required information accurately and adhere to company policies, procedures, and information security standards. Use appropriate communication methods to coordinate efforts among departments, crews, and other vehicle service techs. Work collaboratively with allied health and public safety personnel, VST peers, and the operations team. Minimum Requirements State Driver’s License High school diploma or equivalent (GED) Driving record compliant with company policy Preferred Qualifications Some work experience, preferably in healthcare Working Conditions Fatigue, repetitive and intense tasks; busy, high‑pressure environment. May work alone or in groups. May work in confined areas and in exposure to noise or hazardous conditions associated with emergent medical treatments. May need to work extended shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical Demands Smelling, reading, kneeling, stooping, bending, leaning, twisting, hearing, speaking, touching, pushing, pulling, reaching, standing, and sitting. Carrying multiple pieces of equipment while pushing a cot. Driving ambulance, walking inside and outside in weather. Performing visual inspections, climbing a ladder or step stool. Lifting up to 70 lbs. Operating basic office equipment, communication devices, wheelchair, and gurney/cot. Mental Requirements Critical thinking skills using logic and reasoning to evaluate alternatives and make decisions. Reading, writing, and basic math skills.
