Ultrasound guidance biopsies of the breast and thyroid, paracentesis, thoracentesis/gynecological procedures and vascular ultrasound.How you'll contribute An Ultrasound Technician who excels in this role:Positions, transfers and properly immobilizes patients as required.Performs diagnostic abdominal and pelvic ultrasound studies.Performs diagnostic vascular (carotid and extremity venous) ultrasound studies.Performs diagnostic obstetric ultrasound studies.Maintains records and statistics of ultrasound studies.Maintains professional skills and provides age-specific needs to patients of all ages (neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics).Follows safety procedures and guidelines and reports unsafe practices and conditions.Assists physician during invasive ultrasonographic procedures.Participates in peer competencies.Provides On Call coverage as needed.Why join us We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care.
