We’re partnering with a growing home-services organization looking for an Insulation Sales Representative who can combine technical knowledge with the ability to build trust, educate homeowners, and close business. This isn’t just about selling insulation. You’ll meet directly with homeowners, inspect attics and crawlspaces, identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and indoor air quality, and recommend solutions involving insulation, air sealing, moisture control, and mold remediation . For someone who understands the Puget Sound home-services market and enjoys owning the sales process from initial conversation through project completion, this is an opportunity to build a lucrative book of business with uncapped earning potential . What You'll Do Conduct in-home consultations and comprehensive inspections of attics, crawlspaces, walls, and floors. Identify insulation deficiencies, ventilation concerns, moisture intrusion, and potential mold-related issues. Recommend customized insulation, air-sealing, moisture-control, and mold-remediation solutions. Educate homeowners on energy efficiency, indoor air quality, home comfort, and available rebate opportunities. Prepare accurate estimates and customized proposals. Explain and facilitate Puget Sound Energy (PSE) insulation rebates , including required documentation and program guidelines. Generate new business through referrals, networking, door-to-door canvassing, and self-generated leads. Build relationships with homeowners that lead to repeat business and referrals. Maintain communication with customers throughout the sales, installation, and rebate process. Partner closely with project managers, office staff, and installation crews to ensure a seamless customer experience. Maintain accurate estimates, customer interactions, and sales activity within the CRM. Meet or exceed monthly sales goals while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. What We're Looking For 2+ years of sales experience within insulation, restoration, construction, home improvement, or a closely related field. Experience with Puget Sound Energy (PSE) insulation rebate programs and rebate processing . Working knowledge of residential insulation systems, ventilation, air sealing, and energy-efficiency practices. Understanding of mold remediation, moisture intrusion, and indoor environmental concerns . Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and closing skills. Ability to inspect a home, identify opportunities, explain solutions clearly, and build homeowner confidence. Excellent communication skills—from listening to homeowners and explaining technical concepts in an approachable way to coordinating with internal project and installation teams. Self-motivated and comfortable managing multiple customers and projects independently. Comfortable generating business through a combination of prospecting, referrals, networking, and door-to-door outreach. Experience with CRM systems, Google Docs, and Microsoft Office. Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory as required for in-home appointments. Even Better If You Have Experience selling restoration, water-damage, mold-remediation, weatherization, or environmental services. Familiarity with Washington State building codes and insulation standards. IICRC certification. Bilingual English/Spanish skills. This position offers an uncapped, industry-competitive commission structure , along with: Performance-based bonuses and additional incentives.
