The Manager, Maintenance Demand Planning and Analysis provides overall responsibility, strategic direction, and accountability for maintenance demand planning, deferred maintenance strategy, and analytical performance management. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategies that integrate fleet forecasts, maintenance programs, operational constraints, and financial objectives. The Manager leads a team responsible for short- and long-term demand forecasting, deferral planning, and resource optimization, ensuring maintenance events are proactively planned and executed to support operational reliability and regulatory compliance. As a key cross-functional leader, this role drives optimization of the maintenance program through trend analysis, proactive management of supply chain volatility, and oversight of deferred maintenance limits. The Manager ensures the timely restoration of aircraft to type design while meeting regulatory, operational, and company objectives. Essential Functions Establish planning frameworks that integrate labor, material, tooling, and facility requirements that support operational and planning demands. Oversee short- and long-range labor, material, tools, and facility demand forecasts. Ensure demand forecasts align with: Short- and long-range maintenance visit schedules Deferred maintenance workloads and capture plans Fleet utilization, routing, and operational constraints Material contractual requirements, as applicable Ensure deferred maintenance items (MEL, CDL, NEF, TDI, TSWS, ODM) are strategically managed. Ensure deferred maintenance plans meet FAA regulations (14 CFR 121.628 and applicable guidance), remain within deferral limits, and company standards, and support the restoration of aircraft to full type design. Monitor and adjust for changes in forecasts, budgets, fleet strategies, and business direction. Drive continuous improvement in planning processes, tools, data quality, and coordination methods. Coach, mentor, and develop team members to improve planning accuracy, regulatory knowledge, and operation effectiveness. Evaluate and modify, as required, all existing planned maintenance events being accomplished by Frontier Airlines’ maintenance personnel and/or approved maintenance providers. Evaluate, trend, and analyze task yield, labor, ground time, and routine and non-routine workload to maintain and achieve span and budget targets. Manage a planning team to ensure clear responsibilities are in place that each team member understands. Implement daily and long-term goals for the team and ensure effective communication through calls and stand-up meetings to coordinate activities. Assist with budget preparations for the Maintenance Planning department. Administer and manage all departmental self-audits. Help set up, audit, and maintain the online maintenance planning system in the FMIS to include training, technical knowledge, and practical instruction for Maintenance Planning Manage and maintain Planning department rosters and vacation schedules to ensure proper shift coverage is supportive of the team and operation and maintained. Ensure that department personnel, including this position, are properly trained, qualified, and current to perform assigned tasks and in accordance with company manual requirements. Participate in continuous briefings of daily fleet-wide mechanical status to members of management. Facilitate communication between teams in the organization to efficiently problem solve collaboratively Other Functions Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Maintenance Planning Qualifications Required – Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, supply chain, or another relevant field Required – 5 years direct demand planning analytic experience Required – 2 years of supervisory experience or demonstrated skills in this area. Required – Experience with aviation maintenance planning processes and software Required – Demonstrated knowledge of operations planning, inventory management, and procedures. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proven ability to plan, organize and administrate workloads to direct reports. Working knowledge of airline maintenance operations and technical knowledge of aircraft and maintenance programs Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite, MIS (MX Information System), Operational Control System.
