We’re looking for an experienced Surgical Veterinary Technician to join our team!

At Pet Vet Animal Clinic, we’re looking for someone who is passionate about patient care, confident in a surgical setting, and ready to be an active part of a collaborative veterinary team. We want someone who takes pride in their work, values patient safety, and understands that great surgical care starts well before the first incision.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare patients, the surgical suite, and equipment for procedures.

• Assist the veterinarian during surgical procedures while anticipating the team's needs.

• Monitor anesthesia and vital signs, recognizing and communicating changes promptly.

• Perform appropriate patient preparation, including catheter placement, intubation, and surgical site preparation as trained and authorized.

• Maintain aseptic technique, sterilization standards, and proper instrument handling.

• Monitor patients during recovery and provide attentive post-operative care.

• Maintain accurate medical records, treatment notes, and surgical documentation.

• Keep the surgery area organized, clean, and ready for the next patient.

• Multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail and patient safety.

What We’re Looking For

• Ideally 2–3 years of veterinary technician experience , with hands-on surgical experience strongly preferred.

• A solid understanding of surgical procedures, anesthesia, and patient monitoring.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a busy clinical environment.

• The ability to anticipate needs, prioritize tasks, and remain calm under pressure.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Someone dependable, proactive, detail-oriented, and willing to take ownership of their responsibilities.

• A genuine passion for animal care and patient safety.
