This contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced Special Education Teacher who thrives in a collaborative, student-centered setting. The assignment runs from August 13, 2026, through June 3, 2027, offering the chance to support a unique caseload of 15-18 middle and high school students following the extended content standard. Work Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 3:30pm, up to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications:

• Valid Adapted Curriculum teaching license required
• Experience working with students with autism, especially those who follow an extended content standard curriculum
• Background in developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Ability to foster a classroom environment that encourages positive behavior and growth
• Collaborative spirit with strong communication skills to engage with families, staff, and outside specialists

Responsibilities:

• Develop and adapt curriculum and instructional materials to individual student needs
• Implement effective classroom management strategies while building safe and supportive learning environments
• Collect and analyze student performance data to monitor progress and adjust instruction
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and communicate regularly with families regarding student development
• Maintain thorough and up-to-date documentation in compliance with state and federal requirements
• Provide direct instruction, interventions, and support to students with a wide range of abilities
