This contract opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher within a dedicated team, guiding middle and high school learners who follow the extended content standard.

This assignment runs from August 13, 2026, through June 3, 2027, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 am and 3:30 pm, allowing up to 40 hours per week. You'll be entrusted with a manageable caseload of 15-18 students, providing both structure and adaptability.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid Adapted Curriculum License required
• Experience working with middle and/or high school-aged students, especially those with autism or similar needs
• Background in modifying curriculum and instructional practices for students requiring extended content standards
• Ability to deliver individualized, evidence-based interventions and track progress
• Strong communication skills and dedication to collaboration with colleagues, families, and support staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to each student’s needs
• Utilize adapted curriculum resources and maintain compliance with educational standards
• Cultivate a supportive, predictable classroom environment that fosters both academic and social-emotional growth
• Work directly with related service providers and actively participate in IEP meetings
• Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and documentation
• Communicate consistently with families, advocating for student needs and celebrating achievements
