This onsite contract opportunity near Mooresville, NC, offers the chance to work closely with a manageable caseload of 15-18 students, fostering growth and success for learners with diverse abilities. As a vital member of the special education team, you’ll help implement adapted curricula and deliver meaningful instruction that empowers each student on their educational journey.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid North Carolina Special Education (Adapted Curriculum) License required
• Experience working with middle or high school students preferred
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to create a supportive and engaging classroom environment
• Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students with a range of abilities in a middle and high school setting
• Implement and adapt curriculum materials to meet individual student needs
• Develop, monitor, and update IEPs in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
• Maintain engaging and positive classroom management strategies
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development
• Engage and communicate regularly with families and related service providers
