Make an impact as a Special Education Teacher working with middle and high school students diagnosed with significant autism. This rewarding contract opportunity runs from August 13, 2026, through June 3, 2027. As part of a dedicated educational team, you'll provide direct instruction and adapted curriculum support for a caseload of 15-18 students following extended content standards. You'll work onsite, Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 3:30pm (up to 40 hours per week), collaborating closely with staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

What you'll bring:

• Valid teaching license with Adapted Curriculum (Special Education) endorsement
• Experience teaching middle or high school students with significant autism or in self-contained settings
• Familiarity with extended content standards and individualized instructional planning
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with support staff, related service providers, and families
• Compassion, patience, and a commitment to empowering every learner

Your key responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging adapted curriculum lessons that foster academic, social, and functional growth
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals in accordance with student needs
• Employ evidence-based strategies for managing behaviors and supporting students’ independence
• Track and document student progress and communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Create a structured, supportive classroom environment tailored to each student’s strengths and challenges
