Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (Supervisees Welcome!)

Job Description About the Role: Join ALIGN INTEGRATED CARE PLLC as a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor in Sandston, VA! We are looking for compassionate professionals to help individuals on their journey to recovery, providing support and guidance in a nurturing environment. Responsibilities: Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for clients dealing with substance abuse issues. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs. Case management assessments, activities, progress. Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in need. Facilitate educational workshops and support groups for clients and their families. Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with regulations. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care. Stay updated on best practices and trends in substance abuse treatment. Requirements: Valid certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC or equivalent). Experience in counseling individuals with substance use disorders. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting. Compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor towards clients. Documentation of assessments, treatment plans, individual notes, group notes, case management activities, and discharge summaries Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding substance abuse treatment. Willingness to supervise and mentor new counselors. Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
