SUMMARY: Seeking experienced welder/fabricator to join our team in repairing and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a project
- Cutting, forming, punching, stamping, shearing and welding
- Using the correct welding materials to join metals together
- Set up parts for welding; uses hand tools, clamps, jigs and fixtures
- Works from specifications, drawings and welding symbols
- Repair carbon steel parts and machinery daily
- Perform other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Fabrication skills
- Experience in stick welding (Shielded Metal Arc Welding, or SII/AW)
- 2-3 years' experience in structural welding
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Frequently required to stand and walk
- Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
- Frequently required to lift, push, or carry items up to 50 pounds
- Occasionally required to balance, bend, stoop, or kneel
- Occasionally required to operate forklift
